Even though Valentine’s day did not make it in the 5 Reasons to Love February post, it is still a holiday I thoroughly enjoy! Whether I’m in a relationship or not I find ways to celebrate all the love in my life: friendship love, family love, romantic love and of course the love of chocolate! Being grateful for every blessing should be at the forefront of our minds on a daily basis but since they created a special holiday for it and since it is right around the corner we need to prepare.
I’ve created 3 outfit pairings perfect for you, whether you have a valentine, are patiently waiting for a cutie to ask you to be his or plan to spend the night in protest.
PERFECT DATE NIGHT OUTFIT
This look is great for a night out with your long-term beau or a first date. It is as demure as it is sexy. I like creating pairings that are respectable all the while delivering the right amount of heat. I paired this short off-white long sleeves dress with sexy nude lace up pumps. This look is clean and classy. I accessorized it with gold Chanel earrings and a gold clutch by Roberto Cavalli. For added edge, I suggest wearing neutral eye makeup and deep berry lips.
WEAR A RED DRESS
As cliché as it may be to wear red on valentine’s day it can also be beautiful if it is done correctly. Please note that since red is my favorite color, I may be a little biased. I created 4 pairings revolving around a red dress for the sweet, flirty, sexy and classy lady in you.
Sweet – This look is sweet but with an edge. I paired a sweetheart neckline dress with leopard print pumps and a YSL clutch. This dress is innocent and can flatter any figure especially those with extra junk in their trunk.
Flirty – This look is a bit more grown up than the previous one. The ruffles on the dress and one shoulder neckline make it flirtatious while the fitted silhouette is undoubtably sexy. I accessorized this dress with silver sandals and crimson lips Jimmy Choo clutch.
Sexy – The lines on this Jason Wu dress scream “look at my figure”. I paired it with a signature Alexander McQueen clutch and ankle strap pumps. This pairing is sexy and is sure to attract a lot of attention. Proceed with caution.
Classy – This look is for the sophisticate in all of us. It has the right amount of sexiness all the while being very elegant. It is a good option for a sit down dinner at a fancy restaurant.
ANTI – VALENTINE’S DAY OUTFIT
This look is for those of you who would gladly do away with Valentine’s Day. I paired a sleeveless “Seduce & Destroy” graphic t-shirt with a short leather skirt and a white blazer to match. I accessorized the look with red booties, yellow clutch, statement necklace and vintage sunnies. This look is badass!
