Back in February, Gucci introduced the world to Chime for Change a major women’s empowerment campaign. It’s goal: “provoke, collect and share powerful stories of girls and women globally.” They are focusing on three crucial issues: health, education and justice.
To do so they have partnered with Beyoncé and Salma Hayek. But the star power behind this initiative doesn’t stop there. On June 1, 2013, Chime for Change is hosting a huge concert at Twickenham Stadium in London. The lineup: Beyoncé, John Legend, Rita Ora, Florence + The Machine, Jennifer Lopez, Timbaland and many more. The Sound For Change LIVE will bring girls’ and women’s issues onto the world’s stage where it belongs. I personally love being a woman and empowering other women. This is not a feminist movement it’s a human movement we can all get behind.
