The turban is back and it’s black! I love wearing turbans, it’s not a secret! I like them in solid colors, fun prints and textures! When I started wearing head wraps, I used to almost always wear printed ones. Can you believe I didn’t own a solid black scarf until late last year?
TIP: Choosing a black headscarf is a great way to start wearing turbans if the powerful look scares you a bit.
For this look, I paired my black turban with a black turtleneck, tights, handbag and pumps. I raised the interest level of this outfit with a vintage houndstooth cape and added some pop with a yellow tweed skirt! This look caught the eye of a few street style photographers at World MasterCard Fashion Week and was also featured in SOUCHE Magazine’s printed publication (Fall 2013). This is what I wore:
BLACK TURTLENECK | VINTAGE HOUNDSTOOTH CAPE | RW&CO YELLOW TWEED SKIRT |CLUB MONACO TIGHTS | BLACK SUEDE PUMPS| 3.1 PHILLIP LIM x TARGET HANDBAG.
