Marc Jacobs who sits on the board of the Council of Fashion Designers for America (CFDA) decided to ignore the CFDA age limit recommendations and used 14-year-old models in his runway show on Monday. The designer received much criticism but the heat he received barely made any smoke. “I do the show the way I think it should be, and not the way somebody tells me it should be.” Jacobs said to the New York Times. An unapologetic Jacobs also proceeded to compare the young models to child actors and say: “If their parents are willing to let them do a show, I don’t see any reason that it should be me who tells them that they can’t.” [Full Story: ABC News]
