I recently discovered a new watch brand and I am completely obsessed with it. Shore projects is a UK based company which was started by a group of friends. Their goal? Create a collection of watches they would actually want to wear. Inspired by the elementary beauty and idyllic fun of the British seaside, Shore Projects watches are classic, cool and versatile enough to take your from the beach to the city streets.
THE CHIC: Style meets Versatility
Buying a watch you love is all good and dandy but acquiring a watch that you can customize as the seasons change is simply epic! Shore Projects timepieces are outfitted with interchangeable straps, perfect for every fashion addict.
Because of their clean and bold design Shore Projects Watches are easy to pair with any outfit.
THE CONSCIOUS: Save the Seas
For every watch purchased Shore Projects donates 1£ to the Marine Conservation Society. Their work focuses on preserving and protecting aquatic wildlife and habitats, as well as improving the conditions of our seas and coastlines. Protecting our beloved beaches is work we can all get behind!
The Shore Projects team was kind enough to send me a Gift Box including a face and three straps of my choice. I chose a gold face called Abersoch and the three straps you’ll see below. I chose the Abersoch face because a solid gold timepiece adds instant chic to any look. It’s important to note that each strap came in its own box with a canvas pouch for easy storage. What a nice touch!
The first strap I chose is a black leather strap. Black and gold being my favorite color combination of-the-moment, I couldn’t resist it. For this look, I paired the watch with a casual look: leopard print coat, black leggings, black & white striped top, a big shawl scarf, a side braid and bold burgundy lipstick. [MORE PICTURES]
The second strap I chose is a matching gold metallic mesh strap. A gold watch communicates power, class, and elegance without trying too hard. I paired this watch with my travel uniform: all black everything. I like being comfortable yet fabulous when I travel so I tend to wear a turtleneck with a t-shirt underneath, a statement piece, in this case, my black fur vest, comfortable brown stacked-heel boots, tortoise sunglasses and a dark lipstick. Classic girl on-the-move is what I was going for here. [MORE PICTURES]
The 3rd strap I chose is silicone and pink! I had to throw in a fun strap. Shore Projects has so many unusual options in fun colors: silicone, polka dot, and classic grosgrain ribbon. This strap is perfect for working out or to add a little unexpected humph to a simple outfit as you will see below. I paired this watch with a white buttoned-down shirt, black blazer, and neutral makeup. [MORE PICTURES]
Shore projects currently offers 14+ faces and 30+ straps including metal, leather, polka dot, classic grosgrain, and silicone. The combinations are endless! But if those options are not enough for you, fear not, Shore Projects releases new faces and straps regularly. They call them PROJECTS. How clever!
They recently hosted their United States launch at Soho House in New York and Conscious & Chic was there! They gave us a sneak preview of their new selection of faces and straps that night. Stay tuned for all the dish on that!
