If you love making a bold yet pretty entrance with your wardrobe this post is for you. Desigual, designed by Monsieur Christian Lacroix, presented their Spring / Summer 2015 Collection at New York Fashion Week and it was fabulous. The collection was infused with flirtiness and punchy prints inspired by gardens from around the world: daisies, desert roses, tropical hibiscus and Mexican dahlias. The silhouettes à l’honneur were feminine, easy-going and figure flattering.
Adriana Lima who opened and closed the show was amongst a cast of exotic tousled hair models. They skipped and twirled down the runway holding signs saying: “I love photographers” and “Happy to be here” and “Looking for a boyfriend”. The finale was as festive as the giant flower crowns the models were wearing: a colorful petal-throwing walk-down the runway fit for a prince.
Those in attendance included Sin City 2 star Rosario Dawson, supermodel Poppy Delevigne, socialite Olivia Palermo, Breaking Bad‘s RJ Mitte, Miss USA 2012 Nana Meriwether, Vanderpump Rules‘ Pandora Vanderpump, French Model Camille Rowe and Orange is the New Black‘s Laura Gomez.
One thing is certain Desigual knows how to create pieces women want to wear and put on a show we won’t soon forget.
