Spring is upon us, this means it is time to bring out the light color pieces and shoes. For these spring looks, I’m wearing a pair of boat shoes by Sperry. These Sperry BIONIC boat shoes are woven from plastic bottles recycled from marine and coastal environments. They are chic, comfortable and easy to pair with white skinny jeans and a bright tee. I also styled them with a light blue striped shirt and white jeans.

Since plastic is everywhere, investing in products made out of recycled plastic and eliminating plastic from our daily lives should be a priority. These stats remind me what’s at stake and compel me to continue to make better choices in my day to day.

- Bring reusable shopping bags to the grocery store,
- Buy water boxes instead of plastic bottles,
- Say no to straws (I have a reusable one).
