Three designers presented their collection at Toronto Fashion Week on Monday: Beaufille, Pink Tartan and David Dixon. Here’s a video recap of what was shown.
BEAUFILLEÂ
The designers of Beaufille stayed true to their style for their Spring / Summer 2014 collections. They created both men and women silhouettes. Their fabrications and colors were simple bringing into focus the hardware and negative space details. [SEE PHOTOS]
PINK TARTAN
Kimberley NewPort-Mimran presented a beautiful collection of novelty dresses, leather skirts and cropped pants. She used a variety different geometric patterns including a bold flower print . I particularly enjoyed her take on the shirt dress making it proper for evening. [SEE PHOTOS]
DAVID DIXON
David Dixon delivered a poetic experience to the attendees. His presentation started with a video, a starlit sky and a Psalms. Dixon is known for his classic evening wear with a twist which is what we saw on Monday. He has dressed many celebrities over the years and we can see why. Stay tuned for my interview with him.
